It was designed by HBA, a world-renowned design company, with a philosophy deep rooted in the cultural essence of China’s Han and Tang dynasties – the golden age of the ancient Silk Road. The train is beautifully decorated by Qingdao CRRC Sifang and painted by Tsinghua University Academy of Art & Design with authentic Han-Tang cloud motifs. When not exploring the rich tapestry of cultures, history and landscapes, passengers can look forward to the comforts that await them on the beautiful Silk Road Express train. The train provides high-end cabins, none more so than the Timeless Grandeur Grand Suites found in Coach #17 that offer guests spacious 22m2 with king size beds and luxurious bathrooms. The Bachmann China model is a carefully crafted replica of coach #17 which is finished with an astonishing level of decoration reflecting the opulence of the real ‘Silk Road Express’.
