The aircraft marked “Phantom Phorever” carries a special commemorative scheme celebrating 50 years of F-4 Phantom II operations with the Turkish Air Force. Turkey introduced the type in 1974, and it remains operational today. [2026]

The designation “F-4E Terminator 2020” refers to a major modernisation programme carried out in the late 1990s. These upgrades were intended to keep the aircraft combat-capable until around 2020. In practice, the upgraded Phantoms have remained in service beyond that date and are expected to continue operating for several more years.
