US Army UH-1B Huey Helicopter Gunship.
Early production variant of the iconic Bell UH-1 series utility helicopter, developed for the U.S. Army in the late 1950s. Powered by a Lycoming T53-L-5 turboshaft engine, it featured a widened cabin, upgraded rotor system, and improved performance over the original UH-1A. It could be configured for troop transport, medevac, or armed gunship roles, often equipped with rocket pods and machine guns.
The UH-1B gained fame during the Vietnam War, where its ability to insert and extract troops under fire made it a battlefield essential, becoming one of the most recognisable symbols of the conflict.
