German Army Michael Wittmann WWII Tank Ace Limited Edition Figure No 2.
Michael Wittmann was one of Germany’s most noted tank commanders of WWII. Born in 1914, he rose through the ranks of the Waffen-SS to gain fame for his actions in Normandy in June 1944, particularly during the ambush at Villers-Bocage where his Tiger tank inflicted major losses on British forces. Wittmann was killed later that summer near Hill 112. His short but dramatic career continues to draw attention in military history circles and popular culture alike.
