British Royal Navy Buccaneer S.2D Strike Aircraft.
The Blackburn/Hawker Siddeley Buccaneer S.2D was a late-generation Royal Navy strike aircraft variant derived from the Buccaneer S.2 — itself an improved development of the original Buccaneer S.1, fitted with more powerful Rolls-Royce Spey Mk.101 turbofans, strengthened structures, upgraded avionics, and full naval features including wing folding and carrier-landing gear. Building on this enhanced S.2 airframe, the S.2D introduced the complete Martel missile capability along with further refinements for advanced maritime strike operations. It was designed for sustained low-level, high-speed attack missions, able to penetrate modern air defences and deliver anti-ship or land-attack weapons with precision.
