Modelling in N scale has the great advantage that it is possible to build a comprehensive layout in smaller spaces than in the other popular scales. Everything in the Graham Farish and Scenecraft N scale ranges are modelled in the scale of 1:148, so roughly half the size of OO, meaning that the same layout in N is a quarter the size of its OO counterpart.
For those with limited room in which to construct a modelrailway, N offers the potential to utilise smaller spaces that are typical of many modern homes.
Choosing N scale doesn’t mean a compromise in detail, decoration, operation or quality; we are constantly improving and refining levels of technology and finesse on Graham Farish models.
