How do I fit a decoder into a Branchline 'Hall' Class locomotive?

A DCC decoder fits in the cradle ahead of the motor: first remove the metal block that is taped into it, and then run the decoder wires in the slot on the lower nearside of the motor mount to plug into the socket at the rear of the chassis. If using a Bachmann 36-553 decoder the back EMF CVs will need to be adjusted to suit the requirements of the motor: CV 54 should be set to about 12 and CV 55 to about 60. If necessary, please refer to the intructions with to your DCC equipment on decoder CV programming to carry out this task.
